Bananas
This non-consensual collaboration is the outcome of a non-encounter between whomever discarded the bananas and the photographer. Bananas are the funniest fruit – they’re phallic when whole, and their peel is the anti-hero of the traditional slip-and-fall joke. The discarded banana peel itself can look like a dead animal, which inspires empathy in people who aren’t psychopaths. The banana is perversely beautiful in all its forms of decay. There's tragedy in its splayed limb-like peel, loneliness in its desiccation, and horror in witnessing a full banana peel oozing fruity guts.
